Cooperative Classes

Cooperative Teaching Information One of the greatest features about our network is our unique family atmosphere. This atmosphere really shows in our Cooperative and how our parents pull together to make it all happen. One of the first things you'll notice is that our teachers are highly valued for the skills and time they bring to our homeschool community. The majority of our teachers are homeschooling parents who offer classes as a ministry to other families. It has always been our prayer that the Cooperative be affordable for all homeschooling families. Therefore, most of the our teachers do not ask to be compensated for their time, only for the materials used in class. As a member driven grace based network, any member who desires to teach a class is welcome to do so. The Western Nebraska Home Educators Network does not require our Cooperative teachers to hold any type of degree. The decision to participate in any offered class is left entirely up to our individual families who base their decisions, whether or not to participate, upon their own personal beliefs and homeschooling needs. Our Cooperative teachers only take responsibility and ownership for the class or classes they choose to provide. They determine what classes they would like to teach, what will be taught in the class, the number of students who will be allowed in the class, and the cost of the class based on whether they purchase the supplies for the class or whether the students purchase the supplies needed prior to the start of class.
Each teacher volunteers their time in the
unique and exciting opportunity to help shape young lives. WNHEN asks
that those who take a position of teacher read the student/parent handbook,
WNHEN by-laws and abide by the following: Download a teaching form or request a teaching form by emailing WNHEN@hotmail.com or by sending a request to WNHEN P.O. Box 925; Scottsbluff, Nebraska 69363. If you have additional questions please contact us. |
