Family Ministry Our Family Ministry provides opportunities which include the entire family such as our Family Gatherings, Ski Trip, and Campouts. Special opportunities for homeschooling families vary from year to year depending on the interest of our members. We believe that each family is unique and the best way to learn from one another is to spend time and share with one another. Family Campouts are a wonderful time for our families to enjoy the great outdoors together before school begins for another year. Family Gatherings are planned on a monthly basis. In the summer members host Backyard BBQ's and Family Picnics. During the winter months we enjoy family game nights. Ice Cream Socials, Holiday Gatherings and a Special Recognition Night are all held in honor of our families. Field Trips play a vital role in the educational experience, not to mention the fun involved in visiting cool places with friends. Our field trips are planned year round for our members by our members. We've participated in local outings to the zoo, museums, and parks. We've had field trips to the bee farms, corn mazes, on wagons pulled by horses and even canoed down the North Platte River a time or two. We've also traveled to neighboring states such as Evans Plunge in South Dakota, Elitch Gardens in Colorado and Old Fort Laramie in Wyoming. The Hay Rack Ride has become an annual event for our network. What better way to make memories that last a lifetime than enjoying a hay rack ride. The Ski Trip to South Dakota has become another favorite family event. Talent Shows are held yearly. This is a special time for our families to share their talents and homeschool projects. Musicals are also held yearly. As a group we decide on the musical. Participants audition for their parts. Performances are schedule at one of the local nursing homes and for family and friends.
